The polo season brings together top patrons and professionals in the world to compete in the most prestigious locations. True to form, stylish afternoons of chic summer whites and stimulating thrills. Whilst the United Kingdom prides itself with the highest goal tournaments the rest of Europe enjoys an equally challenging season from a more approachable angle. As the official team photographer, Irina Kazaridi accompanies the team on its journeys and highlights the most memorable moments like no one else. She creates a natural symbiosis between force and beauty. She captures the thrill of the sport, the beauty of the horses,  and the unique characters that make up the world of Polo in the most unique way.

The year kicked off in January with Monte Carlo Polo Team securing the Snow Polo World Cup for the second year running on the St Moritz frozen lake. The months that followed were dedicated to charitable work both in Monaco and the UK supporting The Princess Charlene Foundation and Laureus Sports respectively.

Summer Polo in the South of France opened in the beginning of July. Team Patron Rommy Gianni joined by Tom Barrack, Dario Musso and the reknown face of Ralph Lauren, Nacho Figueras played on and off the field as they have done in the past 8 years.

St Tropez Polo Club has become a force to be reckoned  with in the polo circuit flaunting more stables, more professionals and competitive patrons than ever before. This allowed a high goal polo and not throughout the summer.

The challenging circuit then drove the teams to prepare for the 5th Arena Polo World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan. Here the competition was tight between patrons Rommy Gianni with Monte Carlo Polo Team accompanied by Giles Greenwood and Chris Hyde and Patron Melissa Ganzi with her team members Tito Gaudenzi and Juan Bollini. The locals representing the military force with Team Elite and Team Evviva Polo Club with the Estrada brothers and the great Russian patroness’ were tough to beat. Fierce competition, good friends and good times to be had by all.

Monte Carlo Polo Team’s circuit is forever on the run. The near future will see the team in Arizona whilst the polo year will end with the annual meeting in Argentina coinciding with the renown Abierto in Buenos Aires. In Pilara, where Monte Carlo Polo Team has a firm collaboration with the Pando Family, teams from different parts of the world meet to contend in the local 15 goal tournament.

An amazing challenge in South Africa followed by Beach Polo in Miami will keep them busy in the beginning of 2018. However, make no mistake we will want you all to support us in St Moritz the last weekend of January for the  challenge to keep the World Cup title for the third year running!
