The great Laureus Charity Polo Day took place at Ham Polo Club in Richmond last Thursday 22nd of June. Guests were invited to watch  the Mercedes Benz AMG team take on the St Tropez Polo Club, as some of the world’s best polo players including Adolfo Cambiaso , Nico Peires and David ‘Pelon’ Stirling take part in the exhibition match to raise funds for Laureus Sport for Good.

Many celebrities and important figures attended the game, followed by a traditional Argentine Asado and many other entertainments, while raising funds for the Laureus Argentina Fundation. 

For the third consecutive year Rommy Gianni, President of the Monte Carlo Polo Team Federation and Captain of the Monte Carlo Polo Team has supported the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation charity which enables children from less privileged backgrounds to achieve their goals through promoting their passion for sport. 

Rommy Gianni, Monte Carlo Polo Team Captain, played side by side with Devon Dailey, David ‘Pelon’ Sterling and Nico Pieres for the ALFI INVESTMENTS team. Their rivals, the PAMPA ENERGIA TEAM was made yup of Love Beh, Chevy Beh, Guillermo ‘Sapo” Caset, and Adolfo Cambiaso. Playing at 23 goals prepares the players at some of the highest level of polo they have ever encountered. Rommy fought for glory, and scored the most spectacular goal mid air for his team. ALFI INVESTMENTS won the exhibition match and Rommy was awarded ‘The most valuable player of the match’ prize. Well done Rommy.
