Effort and emotion for Laura Borla and the victims of the Nice attacks with the Monte Carlo Polo Team

Organized by Rommy Gianni, Captain of the Monte Carlo Polo Team, the charity race in tribute to Laura Borla and the victims of the attacks in Nice took place last Saturday, October 15, 2016.

At the end of the morning, 17 riders and a dozen cyclists gathered in the Place du Palais Princier in Monaco, around Rommy Gianni and Annick Borla, Laura’s aunt, who came to represent her family.

At midday, after a warm-up run by Marco Rustichelli and interviews given to the press present for the occasion, the departure was given by Annick Borla.

Nice direction by the Basse Corniche is a race of 25 kilometers in tribute to Laura Borla and the victims of the attacks of Nice. A sporting feat aimed at raising funds to help the Laura family but also the association Promenade des Anges and the FENVAC.

If some of the runners have carried out this Monaco-Nice at a train of hell without practically a drop of perspiration, the test was much more difficult for others in which the mind was essential and which despite the pain kept In mind the reason for this race.

The arrival arrived two and a half hours later on the Promenade des Anglais where runners and cyclists met, welcomed by Laura’s aunt, her family being held on the Hill of the Castle for the National Hommage.

All have shared moments of sports and emotion to draw attention to this fundraiser that will help Laura Borla’s family, the Promenade des Anges Association: July 14 and FENVAC.

The operation, which began on Saturday 15 October and lasts until mid-January 2017, has already raised more than € 6,000 thanks to the generosity of the public and just under € 10,000 thanks to the sponsors of the event.

Rommy Gianni, the captain of the Monte Carlo Polo Team, decided to make a gesture in favor of the city of Nice, which was particularly affected by the mourning of Jacques Borla, an employee of the Société des Bains de Mer, who lost his 13-year-old daughter during the Nice bombings.
